October 2005
Daniel is six years old little boy and will be joining
our family in late October. Daniel has spent most of his
life in foster care waiting to be matched with an
adoptive family. Daniel has significant disabilities
including hearing and visional impairments. We asked
about Daniel over a year ago and we finally matched with
him this month! We are excited to make Daniel a
"forever" member of our family.
Here is how Daniel was described on the
CAkidsconnection.com website:
"Daniel is a happy and bubbly little boy who loves to cuddle. He is smiley
and cheerful. Daniel has moderate to severe developmental delays and
medical issues but he is improving every day and is the
highest-functioning child in his current placement. Although it was
originally projected that he would never walk, he has recently begun to
walk and is making excellent progress in other areas as well. Daniel
needs a loving, dedicated family that can meet his special needs.
However, Daniel would do best in a family with other children who are
not medically fragile, so that he can see where his tremendous progress
is taking him. This would have a very positive influence on his health.
His social worker suggests that Daniel not be placed in a family with
other children who have severe medical needs. Daniel is an adorable
little boy with a lot of love to give and a lot of progress to still be
made. He needs the right family to see him to his full potential and
give him lots of support and hugs!"
We are anxious to see how Daniel will do with a household of loving and
active brothers. We are hopeful that Daniel will continue to make growth
socially and physically.
