August 2005
Jeffrey had an awesome time during his week long visit with his biological
sister, Bethany. Jeffrey,
Jonathan and Bethany got to hang out together all week. They went to Disneyland,
Universal Studios, to the movies, shopping and out to eat. It was wonderful to
see the three of the siblings together, they all have a lot of childhood
memories that they seemed to enjoy sharing. Jeffrey hopes to keep in contact
with Bethany and that she may even consider joining our family through adoption.
Jeffrey is also planning a trip to
Orlando, Florida toward the end of the month. Mom, dad, Jeffrey and Alin will
get to hang out at Give Kids the World Resort, as well as, visit some of the
local amusement parks and tourist attractions. Jeffrey is looking forward to
spending a week away from home and says traveling to Florida is a wish come
true.

June 2005
Jeffrey just turned 12 and graduated from 5th grade! Jeffrey is very excited
about going to middle school next year. He will join seven of the other Silcock
boys at Sowers next fall. This school year Jeffrey starting learning how to play
the baritone horn. He, Javier and Alin started taking group classes twice a week
and recently added an additional private lesson once a week. Jeffery enjoys
playing the baritone and selected band as his elective class next year. It has
been very cool to hear the progress Jeffrey has made playing this instrument. In
the beginning, it seemed like only noise was coming out of the horn. Now we can
definitely hear music!
Jeffrey is continuing with his acting classes at South
Coast Repertory Theater. He will also begin rehearsals with the
MYART
theater group as the begin the
production of "Anna and the King Siam." Jeffrey also recently appeared in an
episode of "Judging Amy." Jeffrey is now a Screen Actor's Guild member and he
continues to audition frequently for various parts in both television and print.

September 2004
Jeffrey
(11) is a fifth grader at Moffett Elementary School. He is really enjoying
school this year. Jeffrey is keeping on top of his homework and maintaining
excellent grades. Jeffrey is also now in band class after school, two days a
week.
Jeffrey is learning how to play the baritone horn. The band teacher is
very excited because Jeffrey is one of the few kids who actually has enough
breathe support to play that big instrument. In September, Jeffrey returned to
his acting classes at South Coast Repertory Theater. Since this is Jeffrey's
second year with South Coast Repertory junior acting program, he is now enrolled
in the advanced classes. Jeffrey is also in rehearsals with MYART
for the
January 2005 production of "Fiddler on the Roof." Finally, Jeffrey is taking a
commercial acting class weekly. This class will help Jeffrey show off his skills
and talent when he goes to his various auditions. With all of this training and
practice, don't be surprised if Jeffrey becomes a famous actor or musician one
day! OCTOBER 2004
AUGUST 2004
Jeffrey really enjoyed school last year and always earned excellent grades.
Jeffrey still has a love of history and science. He especially enjoyed learning
about the American Indians. In fact Jeffrey was so intrigued with the San Juan
Capistrano Mission and learning about the Mission Indians that he decided to
attend a day camp at the Mission. During this camp Jeffrey learned how to make
arrowheads, candles, baskets and other native crafts.
This
summer was also Jeffrey was a participant at Junkyard Camp held at the
California Science Center in Los Angeles. Jeffrey loved this camp. He and Javier
worked together collecting items at the local junkyard then putting them
together to create a dune buggy (see picture to the right!). Jeffrey and
Javier's project was so large we had to bring the big white van to camp the last
to day in order to bring this project home. Jeffrey also participated in several
other camp programs including Fine Arts Camp and Camp James. Jeffrey is such a
social guy he always does well in camp programs.
