August 2005 Jimmy enjoyed spending two-weeks at Ceramics Camp held at the San Juan
Capistrano Mission. Like many artists, Jimmy gets a creative idea in his head
and wants to complete his projects the way he wants to do it. We are proud of
Jimmy's efforts to listen to the ceramics instructor and to complete the class
projects before doing his own work. During the two weeks, Jimmy learned how to
work with different types of clay and ceramics tools. At the end of the camp,
Jimmy completed some very creative projects which we have displayed in our
living room. Jimmy plans on spending the last two weeks of summer vacation
going to his favorite places including Disneyland and Universal Studios. In
September he will return to Edison High School.

June 2005 Jimmy has enjoyed the school year and is excited about starting summer school
soon. This school year seemed much easier for Jimmy. He developed friendships
with other students and even speaks of a girlfriend. To get a little exercise
everyday Jimmy walks to and from school. In the mornings he even walks the
dogs with Robert, one of our helpers. We have worked hard with the staff at
Edison High School to develop a plan to support Jimmy throughout the school
day. Jimmy was included in a regular education art class and actually was
agreeable to complete the classroom assignments rather than focus on his own
cartoon drawings. Next year Jimmy may be interested in taking two regular
education classes as he has expressed an interest in photography.
This summer Jimmy will learn how to use a digital camera and will take private
art lessons. We hope that Jimmy will increase his interest in photography as
he gain skills on how to use the camera. We also continue to encourage Jimmy
to develop his talent in art. Besides these activities you will be able to
find Jimmy either at his favorite amusement park, Universal Studios or
swimming at the local city pool or water parks. We hope to post some of
Jimmy's art and photographs as the summer progresses.

September 2004
Jimmy
(17) is a sophomore at Edison High School. He continues to enjoy drawing and
will be enrolled in an art class in September. Jimmy has also started
developing designs for rubber stamps. Currently he has several in production.
Jimmy's super hero characters make very cute rubber stamps. We are trying to
channel Jimmy's passion for drawing these unique characters into a small
business. Jimmy has already sold several of his rubber stamps to friends as
well as a few to elementary school teachers. Jimmy is using the money he has
made to fund the production of more rubber stamps. Jimmy wants to give some of
his rubber stamps as gifts during the holidays.
Jimmy joined our family in October of 2003. Jimmy is a loner and it is taking
him a little longer to get adjusted to being part of a large family with lots
of brothers. Over time, Jimmy has proven himself to be a good big brother. He
especially loves Dylan, and now Shawn. Jimmy is always available to give
the younger children hugs when they are hurt or sad. Since joining our family, Jimmy favorite place to go is to Universal Studios
where he can see all of his favorite Super heroes. Jimmy's adoption was
completed in April 2004. We are delighted that we were able to adopt both
Jimmy and William. We believe it is very important to keep biological siblings
together whenever possible!
