Subject: Team Silcock April 2005

Hello!

Well its been a wild few months with the Silcock family. The biggest news is we finally got our court date in Russia for the adoption of Sergei (7) and Alex (13). My mom and I are leaving for Moscow on Thursday. We will stay for a week. Our court date is April 27 when we hope to finalize both adoptions. After the adoptions we will come back home without the children. I will return to Moscow at the end of May to bring them home. Jim is not traveling with me due to the accessibility issues in Eastern Europe. I will certainly miss him and the kids but it is probably better that one of stay home with the boys. Jim enjoys staying home with the guys when I have to travel because once "the mom" is gone the house becomes a bachelor pad! Lots of late night movies and mid-night snacks!

Our other big family news is we will be the featured family on an episode of the television show "Nanny 911." Can you believe that Team Silcock did a reality show?!! Our episode will air on Monday, May 9th. The show is on at 8:00 on Fox-11 for those of you in California. If you are not in California then I suppose you will have to check your local listing for show times. The show was filmed at our home during spring vacation. All of the boys still living at home with us will be featured on the show. We had so much fun with the Nannies and even the crew were wonderful. The boys even wrote a song for the nannies and sang the song at the end of the show.

Besides seeing us on the Nanny 911 television show, you can also catch Mathew (16) Javier (13), Jeffrey (11), Kavin (8), and Jordan (8) on the up-coming episode of the television show "Judging Amy." This show will air on Tuesday, April 26th. All of the boys were featured quite a lot during the filming of this episode and Jeffrey and Jordan both had several lines. Since filming this episode, both Jeffrey and Jordan have become eligible to join the Screen Actor's Guild (SAG)!

Our CD, "In The Family" is finding its way all over the world! We have had requests for copies of the CD from England, Serbia, Belgium, Mexico and Russia. Can you believe that actresses Shani Wallis and Tyne Daly, as well as musicians Dean Torrence (Jan and Dean fame!), Jonathan Richman, and Neil Young all own copies! Please e-mail me or visit www.CDbaby.com  to get your own copy. The boys are already starting to write songs, with the help of folk singer, Dave Nachmanoff, for our second CD. This time several of the boys will sing and play instruments on many of the songs.

Finally, we are sorry that we haven't had time to update our web site. We have now hired a professional to help us keep up with the site. We hope to be able to up-date the family news more often and efficiently. I really tried to learn how to run the site but it was simply beyond me and Jim just didn't have enough time to keep the site current. Please keep checking the site and let us know how you like the changes and what will help make the site more enjoyable.

Thanks for keeping in touch, we always enjoy receiving e-mails.
